The Ijaw Diaspora is dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Ijaw people. Through traditional events, cultural education and community gatherings, we keep our traditions alive and thriving for future generations.
The Ijaw Diaspora Council (IDC) seeks to harness the human and material resources of Ijaws across the globe for the preservation of our cultural heritage, identifying new knowledge and sharing same with our people in the diaspora and at home.
The Ijaw Diaspora Council promotes cultural preservation, effective leadership, and professional achievement through a unique approach to environmental justice advocacy, educational support, and global outreach for the advancement of the Ijaw Nation.
The Ijaw Diaspora Council is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit Project-Based Organization dedicated to serving as The Voice of Ijaw Diaspora. Our mission is centered on propagating cultural preservation, fostering effective leadership, and promoting professional achievement within the Ijaw community.
